Fit4Kids is hiring its first Fund Development Manager. Fit4Kids seeks a highly-motivated, energetic, and articulate professional to establish a new Development office. Reporting to and in partnership with the CEO, the Fund Development Manager will spearhead development efforts as Fit4Kids grows.

The candidate will establish a donor-centered fundraising program by creating and implementing a development plan grounded in best practices. The incumbent will develop a comprehensive fund raising program that will include annual fund, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving and donor engagement. The incumbent will also ensure that the fund raising process is supported by efficient systems.

The key objectives for this position are to:

–Identify, cultivate, and solicit and steward individual, corporate, and foundation major gift prospects and donors in collaboration with Fit4Kids CEO and Board members

–Create and execute major gifts and annual gifts fundraising plans, including setting and tracking specific revenue goals

–Manage and lead the development program including updating prospect and donor tracking database, creating donor communications, and evaluating fundraising efforts

–Facilitate improved relationships with potential corporate donors

–Provide staff leadership to the Board’s Development committee

–Build relationships within the community

Secondary objectives include:

–Support the CEO in grant writing and reporting

–Plan and manage selected special events

–Represent Fit4Kids as a speaker, tour provider, event participant, or other opportunity, as requested 

Qualifications:

–Bachelor’s degree required, minimum of five years professional experience preferred

–Demonstrated commitment to Fit4Kids mission and ability to present, inform, and motivate individuals and groups about Fit4Kids mission and programs

–Adherence to the highest ethical standards in fundraising

–Excellent written and verbal communication skills

–Extremely detail oriented and organized, with the strong ability to successfully multi-task as necessary

–Entrepreneurial spirit including innovation, continuous improvement, and flexibility

–Demonstrated success in working as a member of a team and developing effective working relationships with Board members, staff, volunteers, the general public, and current and potential donors

–Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

–Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends
