With local schools participating in virtual learning, Fit4Kids Learning Garden lessons are
still being offered! We are incredibly grateful to generous supporters, like the Anthem
Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation, that has provided funding to continue to offer
programming during these stressful times.

Our Fit4Kids Garden Educators pop into virtual classrooms around the region showing students their school gardens, so they can follow along with growing vegetables. In the last 4 weeks, 664 students have learned about plant parts, different beans, and what plants need to grow!

Virtual lessons don’t have to be sedentary. Fit4Kids Garden Educators make the virtual lessons fun and active through plant part yoga and an active bean game.

Since the Spring, Fit4Kids has also donated more than 5,000 seedlings and plants through various partners like the Resiliency Gardens, Neighborhood Resource Center, and Petersburg Healthy Options Partnership.

A huge thank you to our supporters, like the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation, whose investment allows us to continue to serve kids and classrooms through COVID.
