As we make our way towards the end of summer, it’s still really hot! It’s hard to stay healthy in the heat, but we can all do it by staying hydrated! Whether your kids are always in and out with a busy schedule or spending lots of time at home, it can be easier than you think to have a healthy and hydrated summer!

Some fun facts and tips for staying hydrated in the summer:
 8 cups is the recommended amount of water per day, but this depends on how active you are and how much you’re in the heat
 Eat your water – tomatoes, watermelons, and lots of other fruits and vegetables are made up of over 90% water!
 If water isn’t preferred by your kids, mix in some fruit (lemons, limes, oranges, etc.) to add some flavor!
 After being active out in the heat, sports drinks like Gatorade and Powerade can help to rehydrate
