Bus Driver

About the Position:

Fit4Kids is looking for a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a seasonal part-time Bus Driver! The hourly rate is $20/hour.

Position: Seasonal Bus Driver

  1. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, approximately 2:30 pm–6:00 pm
  2. Hours: Approximately 14 hours per week

Employment Period: September 1, 2026–December 4, 2026 (week of Thanksgiving off), with an opportunity to renew.

What You’ll Do: As a Bus Driver, you’ll play a key role in getting students safely to and from their afterschool adventures! You’ll:

  • Safely Transport Students: Drive students to and from Fit4Kids afterschool programs at Richmond City Public Schools middle schools.
  • Keep Kids Safe: Follow all safety protocols and procedures while students are on board.
  • Support the Program: Help ensure a smooth start and end to each afterschool session.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate the Fit4Kids vehicle to transport students to and from afterschool program sites
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain communication with Fit4Kids staff regarding schedules and any transportation needs
  • Ensure student safety and adherence to all transportation policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license held for at least two years
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • No CDL required
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working with or transporting children is a plus
