Internships
Fit4Kids’ newly structured high school and college internship program mentors the next generation of professionals entering the field of health and wellness. Interns are immersed in a professional setting that directly aligns with their career goals. This invaluable experience provides students with skills that will promote their professional success for years to come!

Expectations
Ideal candidates are self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to work independently and collaboratively, adaptable, patient, able to work well with children, and able to provide their own transportation to programming sites (as much of our programming is done off-site!). Prior experience with health and nutrition is not necessary; however, a passion for both is highly encouraged.

Internship Details
On-site training will be provided. Applicants are required to submit a background check prior to service with Fit4Kids.
The internship will be 10-20 hours a week. Candidates must be available on a M/W or T/R schedule, with availability 1-5:30 pm, to fulfill after-school programmatic needs. A financial stipend will be provided at the end of the semester.
Public Health, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, and Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science (HPEX) majors are strongly encouraged to apply, as well as student-athletes, intramural athletes, and individuals with group fitness and coaching experience. Individuals with Spanish-speaking proficiencies are also encouraged to apply.
