Growing, Tasting, and Learning with Garden Club

Charlotte, a bubbly student at JB Fisher Elementary, is now in her second year of Garden Club—and she brings enthusiasm to every lesson. One of her favorite parts is the tastings Fit4Kids offers incorporating ingredients grown in the garden.

“I like Garden Club because I get to eat yummy snacks, like carrots, and play fun games with my friends in the garden!”

Charlotte’s joy doesn’t stop in the garden beds; she dives right into the games and activities that make Garden Club both active and fun. Recently, she and her classmates have enjoyed Fit4Kids’ spin on the classic Red Light, Green Light, where the Garden Coordinator shouts out a green, red, or yellow fruit or veggie to guide their movements throughout the game.

For Charlotte, Garden Club is more than an after-school program—it’s a place to explore new foods, play with friends, and discover through hands-on fun.
